About Our Founders

Don and Joyce Jordan came from California with a vision: to help fight childhood obesity while providing the best means possible for parents needing childcare. The couple wanted to provide a healthy and holistic home away from home for children in the Triad area, at no extra cost to parents. 

All of the costs related to organic foods, filtered water, and non-toxic cleaning supplies and soaps are paid for by the childcare center (not by you)! We understand how much childcare can add up, and we believe that a safe environment and natural products shouldn’t be an extra cost for you to worry about. 

Don is the backbone of the center. A retired Marine veteran with a big heart, Don humbly takes on the duties of CEO, cook, facility maintenance manager, and caregiver. All the children love Don, while parents appreciate the safety and cleanliness he provides for the facility. 

About Our Teachers

The staff members of Building Blocks Children's Center are highly qualified in First Aid, CPR, and SIDS. We are known as the Triad's premier all natural and organic childcare center, so teachers and staff are well trained in knowing how to deal with food allergies and sensitivities. 

Don and Joyce only hire staff members who share their values and who pass a thorough nationwide criminal background check. All of our educators and licensed and have the credentials needed to provide the best care.
